The instant I saw the moss texture on the wall, I fell in love. Even more so because the becak in front of the wall had a similar rusty texture. I just had to take this picture. :) The details look nicer in full view. ;)

Naah, the story goes that a friend of mine introduced DA to me around that time and I joined back then just for the heck of it, I didn't actually have any arts or something to display. The account went vaccuum for more than a year (I'm rather surprised they still keep this account LOL), and now that I've been learning photography since Nov '05 (started using SLR in Feb '06), I decided to start putting my pictures in DA. :)

That info aside, thanks for the fave! :D

Thank you! I actually had a similar thought when I first saw the result, considering how becak is a traditional means of transportation in Indonesia. Kind of a cultural icon of some sort. :)

Hey Deviant...
You're awesome, and it's been recognized, I'm *electricnats, and I'm part of a project over at *Deviant-Underground to promote underappreciated artists, and share their art with our watchers, each day three pieces are featured in the group journal. From there deviants are asked to participate by posting the featured thumbs in their own journals to promote both the artists and the project. Then on each Saturday the 5 favorite deviations from that week are posted again in a weekly journal entry and those deviations are put into a poll. By the next week, the deviation with the most votes is submitted to the clubs gallery with comments disabled and a link to the original. So eventually, when the project gets bigger, then that should have a huge effect on the featured deviations comments and favorites.

Anyway, today your piece was featured here.
